Les Oliviers is named after our olive grove and is one of two one bedroom gites which enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside, Luberon hills and stunning salt water, infinity swimming pool.

Les Oliviers has beamed vaulted ceilings, a comfortable living and dining area, and is open plan to the fully fitted kitchen which includes dishwasher, coffee machine, oven , hob etc
The well designed bedroom suite has a built in wardrobe, double bed and luxurious en suite shower room with W.C and wash hand basin.
On your private terrace there is a Weber BBQ, table & chairs for alfresco dining where you will also enjoy stunning views.
From the landscaped terraces steps lead down to the swimming pool, with ample sunbathing area, sun loungers, parasols and pool house, for the use of our guests it has comfortable furniture for you to relax with a stocked fridge should you require a cold beverage. It is the perfect place for our guests to get together to exchange stories and tips over an early evening aperitif and watch the sun set behind the chateau.
We are also on hand to assist whether it be a restaurant reservation, which market is on where and the best place to park, cycle hire, hiking routes or where to buy the best rosé. As David is now a regular cyclist he can advise on a range of tried and tested routes and has been known to accompany many guests including several making their first attempt at climbing the mighty Mont Ventoux. Since we started in 2009 we have welcomed guests from all over the world many of whom have now been coming back for over ten years.
If you prefer to avoid travelling at weekends, why not book an extra couple of nights in the Bed & Breakfast room? Or if you have friends who would like to join you, they can reserve the Chambre du Platane, as the gites are equipped to cater for four people.

Our gites are an easy 750m walk from the heart of the unspoilt village of St Saturnin Lès Apt. Full of Provencal character, it is dominated by a medieval ruined castle with its ramparts and towers (which can be seen from all our properties) and the 17th Century Windmill. Narrow streets, old stone houses with their original doors, water fountains and a central square, which is shaded by plane trees, all create a peaceful ambience.
Less than 10 minutes walk from our properties there are two bars and two wine bars, two hotels and three restaurants providing casual and more formal dining. A butchers, two boulangeries and a ‘Spar’ supermarket, gift shop, epicerie, chemist, post office, cash machine and newsagent. The village has a market on Tuesday, where you can buy fresh local produce as well as Provencal gifts, wine and clothing.
The area, has been noted for its Olive Oil and the local Moulin, which has a small gift shop, is just outside the village as you approach from Apt.

Checkin & Checkout
We will be there to welcome you between 16.00 and 19.00 unless arranged otherwise. Departure is by 10am to allow us time to prepare for the arriving guests.

Free secure car parking is available for guests, as well as a cycle storage area and service tower.

A perfect gite for couples, very well equipped and although convenient for the village of Saint Saturnin-les-Apt, it retains a very private feel to it. We enjoyed many meals sitting out on our terrace overlooking the salt-water infinity pool (most welcome after day out sight seeing) whilst admiring the hills of the Grand Luberon as they were bathed in the evening sun.
David and Karen proved to be the perfect hosts, always ready to share their knowledge of the area or book a table for us at one of the village’s restaurants. David is a keen cyclist and was happy to take me out on three rides before accompanying me up Mont Ventoux (just 25 miles away), a climb that must be on every cyclist’s bucket list. If you are a cyclist then Les Oliviers is the perfect place for you. This was our first time in Provence but we will definitely be back!
My second visit to Les Oliviers and just as fabulous as the first. The local village is easily accessible from the gites; you can go out walking or just relax by the infinity pool. The gite has everything you need and is very comfortable Plenty of sights and lovely villages are in close driving distance. David and Karen are excellent hosts and apero hour by the pool is a chance to meet other guests. I’m already trying to find a date for 2019.
From the most the charming hosts walk out to greet you on arrival, any problems simply melt away. This is the perfect holiday if you want to blend luxury with some sense of autonomy. The setting is amazing. You wake up and the Luberon unfolds in front of your eyes. The sun sets while sipping chilled rose by the pool. The village is small but has two excellent restaurants and other villages are within easy reach. We have been back four years in a row and will for a fifth. It is a 10/10 experience!
We love Provence and this Gite is brilliantly sited to tour the delightful vineyards of the area. David and Karen are brilliant hosts and they pointed us to half a dozen fantastic vineyards, that were very nearby.
We are lucky that we drove here and so were able to buy quite a lot of Rosé to take home, you can get some brilliant deals at the vineyards with wine costing around €4 a litre, I’m not joking! The weather was not brilliant, which David seemed to take personally for some reason, but I still had 4 good days by the pool and could think of no nicer place that I would want to spend a day.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Les Oliviers it’s a great Gite in a sunning position with great facilities, and totally brilliant Hosts.
We’ve been 3 times for one week, this year we made it 2 weeks and it was the best decision ever. Apart from the superb gite, pool, beautiful weather and views it is the hospitality that is the icing on the cake.
David and Karen have that just right with the evening chats by the pool over a glass or two with the other guests. We had a the most relaxing stay with superb cycling trips with David. He’s an expert guide for local routes and mighty Ventoux. Next year I will be quicker, promise!
Our fifth stay at St Saturnin with David and Karen. As always they are excellent and helpful hosts. The location and accommodation is one of our favourite holiday locations. Set in beautiful countryside yet within walking distance of the village with its small collection of shops and restaurants. This year we have enjoyed visiting some of the quieter parts of the Luberon and Vacluse. David’s advice on routes and places to eat has again been so helpful. We will be back again!
