Provençal Markets
There is a market every day in Provence, some small, some large all giving the opportunity to experience life in Provence. Fresh produce, usually locally grown, colourful, tasty and irregular shaped vegetables, herbs, garlic and local olive oil. Local artisans offering clothing, artwork, jewellery and homeware. Local wine producers giving tastings and stories of their vineyards most of which are family owned.
And of course, the regions amazing cheeses including Banon, made with goat’s milk and wrapped in chestnut leaves even has an ‘appellation controlé’. Undoubtedly the most famous product is lavender, whether it be fresh, dried or as an essential oil for soaps, shower gel etc..
