Your partially covered terrace and steps lead to the 10m x 5m infinity swimming pool, which has ample sunbathing area with sun loungers, parasols and pool house with lounge furniture and views towards the village and chateau. It is the perfect place for our guests to get together to exchange stories and tips over an early evening aperitif and watch the sun set behind the chateau.

 Before arrival we will send our comprehensive welcome guide which David wrote to help guests get the best from their stay. We are also on hand to assist with  restaurant reservations,  organise cycle hire  or help with hiking routes or which market is on where on which day. You name it and we will try and help!. As David is now a regular cyclist he can advise on a range of tried and tested routes and has been known to accompany many guests including several making their first attempt at climbing the mighty Mont Ventoux.  Since we started in 2009 we have welcomed guests from all over the world, many of whom have now been coming back for as many as ten years plus.

 Prices are based on two people including breakfast, minimum stay two nights. 

We that regret we do not allow children under 18 to stay in the Chambre du Platane or gites, or allow more than two people to share.

The chambre du Platane is an easy 750m walk from the heart of the unspoilt village of St Saturnin Lès Apt. Full of Provençal character, it is dominated by a medieval ruined castle with its ramparts and towers (which can be seen from all our properties) and the 17th Century Windmill. Narrow streets, old stone houses with their original doors, water fountains and a central square, which is shaded by plane trees, all create a peaceful ambience.

Less than 10 minutes walk from our properties there are two bars, two wine bars, two hotels and three restaurants providing casual and more formal dining. A butchers, two boulangeries and a ‘Spar’ supermarket, gift shop, epicerie, chemist, post office, cash machine and newsagents. The village has a market on Tuesday, where you can buy fresh local produce as well as Provencal gifts, wine and clothing.

The area, has been noted for its Olive Oil and the local Moulin, which has a small gift shop, is just outside the village as you approach from Apt.
