We were treated last night to a wonderful meal at the restaurant 'La Bartavelle ' in the lovely nearby village of Goult. Karen's Mum has been staying with us and always enjoys a meal out and is really quite a goumet having eaten at many of the local restaurants...

  Since 2006 I have maintained a blog of our activity in the Luberon which includes photographs of the construction of our houses and gites, lots of pictures of the glorious scenery changing each season, lots of food and villages and us geting older!! Take a look...

    One last job to do was cut the grass before our first guests arrived, it started well, especially avoiding cutting this  gorgeous wild flower that appeared in the orchard from nowhere, and then my steering column (on the tractor) snapped ! no grass...

Its the 31st March and a beautiful spring day in the Luberon and the weather is set fair for the forthcoming Easter weekend.

Its almost as reliable as the blossom appearing on the trees, the week before Easter and the Luberon comes alive. Our first clients, from Germany on their second visit to Le Chene are happily installed and we are content to have got everything ready just in time!

May is poppy season in Provence, did you know they rarely come back in the same place the following year? I captured this field just below the village last year early in May.
