In Les Baux de Provence, a perched village with dominant chateau at the top you will also find the Carrières de Lumières which opens each year in March running through to the following January. It’s a vast quarry, 15 degrees year round so take a jumper, with a 30 minute show of art complimented by a musical score typically classical although this year ending with a little twist.
Even if the art is not to your taste it’s a fascinating experience and well worth a visit. 12 € entrance fee.
Whilst there Les Baux is also worth visiting although it can be very busy.
