We’re David & Karen

Our joint passion for people, property & France led us here in 2005 and we have never looked back.

When we first walked onto our land in 2005 we knew from that minute that we had to have it. Little did we know of the challenges ahead, but from each one we have learned a great deal.

And so our first season started in 2009, since then we have been fortunate to attract guests from around the world with over 56% returning on a regular basis.

Fourteen years later we are still finding new places to explore so we can share this knowledge with our guests, cycling has become a passion for David who is always happy to advise on routes or join guests if they wish and in our gites our early evening ‘aperos’ remain highly popular

A Note from Us

When Karen and I started holidaying as a family and later just us together we had a small ‘essential’ short list – walking distance to a village with a Boulangerie, bar & restaurant was top. Next, clean with the mod cons one has at home and certainly no less comfortable. A pool was also essential and as we began to travel just as a couple the opportunity to meet fellow travellers, whilst still having one’s own space and without the need to rent somewhere too large. Of course over the years wifi soon came close to the top of the list too.

And so we set about creating our business, designing and building a family house that caters for two to six people, which is independent of us in its own garden with pool, and a home for us with the two ‘gites’ and b&b room adjacent (each for two adults) sharing the infinity pool. We are proud to say all our accommodation meets the above criteria and more. The definition of a gite is furnished self catering accommodation adjacent to the owners home and in a rural location.

We want you to get the most from your ‘Provençal experience’ and are available  to assist whether this be organising cycle hire, making restaurant reservations, providing local walking maps or setting up a tour of local vineyards, we are on hand should you need us without being intrusive. For our ‘gite’ and b&b guests  we frequently take an early evening ‘apero’ in the pool house  which is an ideal time to share stories,  knowledge and experiences.

Karen and I work together carryout the cleaning on changeover days, the washing and ironing, garden and pool maintenance which ensures an extremely high standard is maintained. In our spare time and the off season we enjoy hiking, travelling, food & wine, reading and continuing to explore the local area, which continues to amaze us with it’s beautiful, varied and ever changing landscape.

Whether you come to enjoy the almond & cherry blossom in Spring, poppies in May, melons and cherries in June, lavender in July, Fetes in August, grape harvesting in September or the famous ‘cepes’ or truffles in the Autumn we are sure you will have a wonderful holiday.
